Metz. Soleil senior living center: "Upset," tenants must have vacated their homes by the end of September

Things are serious this Friday morning at the Soleil residential home in the Patrotte district of Metz. In her sixth-floor apartment, Annick has called a crisis meeting with her last remaining neighbors. Two days earlier, on Wednesday, July 9, as she was returning from shopping with her son, she was verbally informed that she would have to leave her home by September 30 at the latest. "I was told that by that date, if I hadn't left, the heating and electricity would be cut off and the police would come and evict me," reports the distraught 73-year-old tenant.
